IT specialists continue to have good chances of finding a job with the DAX companies. Two energy companies are also looking hard for new staff.

Dusseldorf Applicants have good chances on the job market because companies are looking for staff on a massive scale. This trend from last year is expected to continue in 2023. In January, the 40 companies listed in the Dax advertised 27,263 jobs, as the job exchange Indeed collected exclusively for the Handelsblatt. That is twelve percent more than in January 2022.
There is usually a seasonal effect at the beginning of the year. “The level of vacancies is generally lower in January than in December,” explains Enzo Weber, labor market expert at the Institute for Labor Market and Occupational Research (IAB).
In December they had dax-Company still more than 28,000 vacancies. Many of these positions, which had been advertised over the past few months, were filled in early 2023. Despite this effect, three of the most important German listed companies in particular are currently advertising more jobs than recently. The table below shows how many employees each company is looking for.
