Mercuryo, a global payment network, Dogecoin (DOGE), XRP, Phantom (FTM)Circle’s USDC stablecoin and Litecoin (LTC) announced that it has added support for Mercuryo uses cryptocurrencies to enable fast and efficient cross-border payments.

The venture has been doing pretty well, raising $7.5 million last June during a Series A funding round led by pan-European venture capital firm Target Global.

Founded in 2018, Mercuryo aims to build an ecosystem of payment solutions in the cryptocurrency industry, thereby making digital assets more accessible, by partnering with firms such as Bitfinex, Binance, Trezor, Bithumb and Trust Wallet.

Also last May, the company signed a partnership with decentralized exchange aggregator 1inch Network, enabling a fiat leap into decentralized finance.

Mercuryo continues to take steps forward

In April, the startup became one of the first companies in the industry to include open banking payments on its platform after signing an agreement with open payment gateway Volt, thus offering higher transaction speed and stronger security.

Mercuryo also added that Ripple, the company associated with the XRP token, is intrigued by its success in cross-border payments, and that the protocol is used to facilitate fast and inexpensive payments.

Earlier this month, it added nine more fiat currencies (Polish zloty, Swedish krona, Danish krone, Czech Koruna, Swiss franc, Australian dollar, Canadian dollar, Hong Kong dollar and Bulgarian lev) to its platform. London and Tallinn-based Mercuryo announced in June that it will soon open a new office in the US and continue its expansion in the country.
