Gladbach star Kramer: “You can’t win a football game like that”

In season has Borussia has already shown three times that they are the perfect opponent for teams that are deep in crisis. As before in the derby in Cologne (1:3), this time too there was one 1:3 defeat at the bottom – after an also very weak performance.

Christoph Kramer spoke plainly after the defeat: “We are disappointed. The game was incredibly bad, we have no explanation for it.”

Kramer is even clearer: “We didn’t manage to keep the ball in Union’s half for a second. We made so many technical mistakes. When you make so many mistakes and give the ball away like that every time, you don’t need to talk about anything. Not about fight, attitude. You can’t win a football game like that.”

ROOM!

Gladbach’s sports director Nils Schmadtke (34) also had no good things to say about the team’s performance: “We are all very disappointed. We all hoped for more from this game. We didn’t accept the game as we should have. It just doesn’t work in that Bundesliga, if you think that you have to pass the ball with the outside crack or with your heel. We have to look after our own noses.”

Coach Gerardo Seoane (45) openly addressed the poor performance when asked by BILD: “We know where we come from and know what level we are at. We didn’t get that today. We will use the week to work through and reflect on certain things in order to do better against Bremen.”

VfL doesn’t have much time for that. The Werder team will be guests on Friday evening (8.30 p.m./DAZN). The team cannot afford a third weak performance given the table. Then instead of looking up, you look towards the relegation zone…
