Giant Ethereum Whale Starts Accumulating Four Altcoins As Markets Recover

a giant Ethereum whale, made a ‘huge’ $30.6 million purchase and amassed four different altcoins.

Blockchain transaction tracking platform WhaleStats has detected that the Ethereum whale wallet known as ‘Light’ has purchased OMG worth $2,451,999.

Formerly known as the OMG Network, the OMG Foundation is known as a Layer-2 Ethereum scaling solution that integrates with mainstream wallets. The 122nd ranked crypto asset, OMG, is priced at $5.95.

Light, which also stands out as the fourth richest whale wallet, is worth $ 25,170,000. Chainlink (LINK) also bought.

At the time of writing, Chainlink ranks 17th and is trading at $25.19.

Wallet is also popular meme coin Shiba Inu (SHIB) He chose to make the purchase and bought 58.9 billion tokens for $1,906,592.

The Shiba Inu is struggling to bounce back from its monthly lows on January 9 and is currently valued at $0.00003.

The last altcoin on Light’s buy list was Gala (GALA), a blockchain gaming platform that works with the logic of “win to play”. Whale bought 3,260,000 GALA tokens for $1,137,691.

Gala is off to a rough start to the new year, dropping from $0.45 to its current value of $0.32.

WhaleStats also found that Light made a large purchase of the Bitcoin-pegged token Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), paying $86,428,000 for 2,000 WBTC.

Wrapped Bitcoin is currently valued at $42,849 and is trading at the same level as BTC.

Finally, WhaleStats tweeted that SHIB has become the most popular token among leading Ethereum wallets with 15.75% of all assets.

“Just now: SHIB Shibtoken is back to be the largest token position by dollar value among the top 1000 ETH whale wallets.”
