Getir could lose value with Gorillas purchase

Frankfurt, Berlin, Dusseldorf According to financial circles, Europe’s leading express delivery service Getir would have to pay tribute to the collapse of the industry if it took over the German competitor Gorillas. The Turkish company is threatened with significant deductions in its own valuation.

A valuation of seven billion dollars – including gorillas – is under discussion. This emerges from sales documents that the Handelsblatt was able to see. In the most recent round of financing in March, the buyer company was valued at twelve billion dollars. Getir and Gorillas declined to comment.

Getir is currently in “advanced negotiations” to take over Gorillas, as the Handelsblatt reported on Monday. According to the documents, both companies have agreed on a six-week exclusivity for negotiations.
