Germany’s hotspot is in Upper Bavaria – 13 of the 15 districts with the highest rate of new infections in Eastern Bavaria

In Germany are 66 percent of the total population fully vaccinated against Coronat. As can be seen from the data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Thursday, that was just under 54.9 million people. 191,737 cans were inoculated on Wednesday. Almost 57.4 million people (69 percent of the total population) have received at least one dose of vaccine.

With currently an average of around 125,400 vaccinations per day, according to the Federal Ministry of Health’s vaccination dashboard, more than one person is vaccinated per second. According to the latest figures, 76.6 percent of adults are now fully vaccinated. The rate among the over-60s is 84.9 percent. Children and adolescents aged 12 to 17 are vaccinated 39.4 percent fully and 44.3 percent at least once.

The RKI assumes, however, that probably more people among adults are vaccinated than the data suggest. In a report at the beginning of October, for example, it said that the rate for people who were once and fully vaccinated from the age of 18 could be up to five percentage points higher.

1.43 million people in Germany have now received a booster vaccination. In the past seven days, an average of around 38,500 booster vaccinations were given each day.
