Galaxy S21 disappointing? What are the sales saying?

Having divided the user base into two with a different design in the Galaxy S21 series, which it introduced last year, Samsung has also unplugged the Note series. The manufacturer, which left behind a very good year considering the middle and entry segments, naturally lost power after stopping the Note series on the upper segment side. Moreover, this loss was not only due to the Note series. The emerging information shows that Samsung is disappointed with the Galaxy S21 series. Here are the details…

Galaxy S21 did not satisfy sales

The Galaxy S21, which was introduced last year and is one of the most successful phones in the upper segment as usual, and other phones in the series, seems to have failed to satisfy the manufacturer in terms of sales. As a matter of fact, the Galaxy S20s, which was introduced two years ago and is the previous series before the S21, had a total of 20 million sales in its first year. The Galay S21 series, on the other hand, achieved the same sales within a similar period.

In the Galaxy S20 series, the expected sales did not occur due to the pandemic conditions. The coronavirus had shrunk the phone market, as it did in every other market globally. Also, the chip shortage was a huge problem. However, the pandemic conditions, which have eased considerably since 2021, were not enough to increase Samsung’s sales.

Samsung could not evaluate the growing market share in the Galaxy S21 series, which it introduced in 2021. While rival companies strengthened their hand in the upper segment in the phone market, which started to grow after the pandemic crisis in 2020, Samsung sold the same number of phones as in the previous year and stabilized the previous year’s decline.

According to the sources, not only the phones but also the problems on the production side cause losses to the company. As a matter of fact, Samsung often comes up with factory problems and production disruptions. The company’s factories in the Far East have not been keeping up, so to speak, lately.

So what do you think about this subject? What do you think is the main reason for Samsung’s decline in sales? You can specify in the comments…
