Zurich The former head of the supervisory board of Haniel and Brenntag, Doreen Nowotne, is returning to operational business: The 50-year-old has taken over the position of managing director at Kühne Holding from logistics billionaire Klaus-Michael Kühne. This emerges from an entry in the Swiss commercial register from the beginning of September. “Manager Magazin” first reported on the personnel.

In the Kühne Holding, based in the Swiss town of Schindellegi, entrepreneur Kühne bundles his investments, for example in the logistics giant Kühne + Nagel, the shipping company Hapag-Lloyd and Lufthansa. Nowotne, together with ex-UBS banker Tobias Kunz, manages the holding company. In May 2022 it was announced that she would be replaced on the Haniel supervisory board by Maximilian Schwaiger.

Nowotne’s appointment is the latest in a series of appointments aimed at rejuvenating Kühne Holding’s management team. Henkel boss Carsten Knobel only joined the holding company as a board member in June.
