Ford Fiesta bids farewell to production lines!

According to the information received, the last Fiesta will come off the assembly line on July 7, 2023. So 47 years and eight generations later, the Fiesta era will be over. With the Ford Fiesta saying goodbye to the production line, it will accelerate the production of the electric Explorer model at its Cologne factory in Germany.

The US automaker wants to become an all-electric brand by 2030, as part of the plans it announced in the past. Announcing that it will launch 9 different electric cars by 2024, Ford bids farewell to internal combustion models in this context.

Saying goodbye to models such as S-Max and Galaxy before, Ford now applies the same policy for Fiesta. The supermini, which could not reach the expected sales figures especially in its last generation, lost its place to the increasingly popular SUV class. The new electric Explorer will play an important role for Ford in the European market.

Ford, which separated its facilities in Cologne, Germany to produce fully electric cars, invested 2 billion dollars in this factory. Ford continues to work towards becoming the only electric car brand in Europe by 2030. The company aims to sell 600,000 electric cars per year by 2026.
