Financially independent at 32 – Frugalist explains his strategy

Dusseldorf The financial blogger Manuel Stricheder (“The Financial Nomad”) is 32 years old and has been dealing intensively with finance for about eight years. To date, he has saved several hundred thousand euros and says he has already achieved financial independence. He quit his permanent job as an electrical engineer at a medium-sized special plant manufacturer at the end of March. Now he is traveling through Southeast Asia with his girlfriend. Manuel Stricheder is a frugalist.

And that means living frugally, investing a large part of your income and building up a large fortune in order to achieve financial freedom as quickly as possible – that is the main goal of the frugalists. The life concept from the USA has a lot in common with the FIRE movement (Financial Independence, Retire Early), whose primary goal is to be able to retire early.
