Federal Foreign Office publishes partial travel warning for Ukraine – London calls for the end of Nord Stream 2 in the event of a Russian attack

The foreign ministers of the 27 EU countries have promised Ukraine support for military training. According to a statement on the Ukraine conflict and tensions with Russia published on Monday, the EU is in the process of defining modalities for the aid. We are also committed to continuing to support Ukraine in combating cyber and hybrid threats and disinformation.

Regarding the current course of the government in Moscow, the statement states that the Council of Ministers condemned Russia’s continued aggressive actions and threats towards Ukraine and call for practicing de-escalation, respecting international law and engaging in constructive dialogue through the established international mechanisms. Notions of “spheres of influence” have no place in the 21st century.

In addition, the ministers again threatened retaliation in the event of a Russian attack. Any further military aggression against Ukraine will therefore have “massive consequences and high costs”. This includes one wide range of sanctions against economic sectors and individuals. The preparatory work has recently been accelerated, the statement said
