The Fed kept the interest rate unchanged in line with expectations. The calendar regarding the reduction of asset purchases, which has been spoken and priced for a long time, was clarified at this meeting.
The Fed has decided to reduce its asset purchases starting in November. Accordingly, monthly asset purchases of 120 billion dollars will be reduced by 15 billion dollars. In December, the pace of reduction in asset purchases will be increased.
After the decision, we saw a strong selling wave in the global markets. Bitcoin was also affected by this, falling to $ 60,000. With the strong reaction from this level, it rose above $62,000 again.
The reaction in Bitcoin also triggered the rise in altcoins.
When we look at the US markets, we see that they also received a buying reaction. Now Powell’s statements will be followed. Powell is not expected to make a statement that will upset the markets.
