Belvedere Museum currently very full of love NFT getting ready for sale! Museum for Valentine’s Day Gustav Klimt‘s work titled “The Kiss” (Lovers) will be put up for sale as an NFT project.
Belvedere Museum, in collaboration with the NFT investment fund artèQ, is excited to bring the NFT version of a historical masterpiece to the digital world. The work, which will be sold with a limited number of digital excerpts and is one of the most famous works of art in the world, is in the form of a high-resolution digital copy of 100×100 sized grids and will be available as 10,000 unique pieces NFT.
The acquisition process will begin on January 26, when interested parties will register on thekiss.art platform. On February 9, buyers will be able to obtain authorization to purchase printed NFTs of a piece of digital Kiss.
Stating that 10,000 parts of the work will be allocated randomly, the authorities declared that if the sales are high, the allocation of 10,000 NFTs will be decided by lottery. The fact that the official release of NFTs will take place on February 14, Valentine’s Day, is remarkable considering the nature of the work.
The Importance of the Work Titled “The Kiss”
“The Kiss” is an oil painting work by the Austrian Symbolist painter Gustav Klimt on a canvas containing gold leaf, silver and platinum. It was built in 1907 and 1908, during what academics call the “Golden Period”. Decorated in a style influenced by the contemporary Art Nouveau style and the organic forms of the early Arts and Crafts movement, the work is on display at the Austrian Belverede Gallery Museum in Belvedere, Vienna. The work in question is Klimt’s most popular work and is considered a masterpiece.
