Famous British Law Firm Will Accept Payments With These Altcoins!

Leading UK law firm Gunnercooke has started accepting payments for legal and professional services in many major cryptocurrencies. The firm will accept leading crypto assets such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), as well as smaller altcoins such as Cardano (ADA) and Dogecoin (DOGE).

In an announcement released by the law firm, it stated that they will now accept cryptocurrency payments through cryptocurrency exchange Coinpass, which is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and added altcoins like DOGE, ADA, XTZ, EOS and UNI to its platform late last year.

The announcement also mentioned that the law firm has built a client base of “around 100 cryptocurrency developers, platforms, and exchanges,” and that cryptocurrency staking firm Attestant is the first company to pay gunnercooke firm for its legal advisory services in cryptocurrency.

Gunnercooke stated that Attestant pays for services with Ethereum’s native asset, ETH, and they “advise Attestant on a number of legal and regulatory issues related to Stake.” Naseer Patel, Gunnercooke’s chief financial officer, commented:

“Only a few US law firms currently accept crypto-asset payments, so we are proud to be at the forefront of innovation in the UK. We will now be able to work with a wider range of customers in multiple jurisdictions, giving our partners the flexibility to pay securely the way they choose.”

The firm added in a statement that cryptoassets are being accepted in an increasing number of industries, and James Burnie, the firm’s financial services and fintech partner, said:We expect a gradual transition over the next ten to twenty years as cryptocurrencies become more and more accepted as a means of payment.” quoted from his statement.

Following in the footsteps of DOGE Shiba

There is also positive news about DOGE, one of the cryptocurrencies accepted by the law firm. Dogecoin has opened a cryptocurrency-based restaurant in Dubai, following its rival Shiba Inu. The company, which will be a virtual restaurant with delivery service, will accept payments for meals in cryptocurrency inspired by the internet meme.

The restaurant opened shortly after Tesla CEO Elon Musk and DOGE co-founder Billy Markus forced McDonald’s to accept the meme-inspired cryptocurrency as a payment method. Marcus said Tesla CEO Elon Musk can get a free meal at the dogeburger.
