Meta announced the “sharing to Reels” feature, which allows sharing Facebook Reels content directly through third-party applications. Thus, videos and content prepared through other applications can be shared on Facebook Reels.
In its statement, the company states that with the new update, other application users are able to send clips directly to Reels while taking advantage of Reels’ editing tools. Among the first apps to use the feature are the popular karaoke app Smule, as well as video editing apps Vita and VivaVideo.
With the new update, it has been understood how much importance Facebook attaches to Reels. Facebook, which has lost some of its young users to TikTok, is trying to protect its audience with new features. The famous social media site had previously followed a similar path with the ‘Stories’ feature against Snapchat.
