EY puts pressure on job cuts

Dusseldorf The auditing and consulting company EY is increasing the pressure on the planned job cuts in Germany. Because the cutback program has not yet been fully implemented, EY is now threatening to lay off employees for operational reasons. This emerges from internal letters that are available to the Handelsblatt. The general works council has already announced resistance in this case.

In spring 2023, EY Germany confirmed that it would cut up to 380 jobs in the so-called service areas, which include marketing, administration and research. In addition, 40 partners should leave the house. According to information from company circles, two small locations will also be closed.
