The security expert from International SOS informs managers about assignments abroad in the event of a crisis.
Dusseldorf Wolfgang Hofmann is currently a sought-after man. The former Bundeswehr officer works as a security expert at SOS International in Neu-Isenburg. The service company with around 11,000 employees and a total of 26 situation centers informs business travelers worldwide and around the clock about imminent health or safety risks.
Customers include DAX corporations and medium-sized companies, but also non-profit organizations. In connection with the war in Ukraine, SOS International has processed around 60 inquiries over the past few days, and the number is still rising.
Mr. Hofmann, you also evacuate expats from the war zone in Ukraine. What are you most busy with right now?
Interestingly, with departures from Russia. The reason is the recommendation of the Federal Foreign Office to leave the country. We receive around a dozen inquiries from all sectors every day.
