According to the news, which was first published in the weekly economy magazine Challanges in France, the French army has been trying to produce similar Bayraktar TB2 SİHAs for a while. In addition, France wants the EU to produce fake TB2s, so to speak, instead of the Euro-drone project that it plans to produce with a budget of 118 million Euros.
France’s main goal in this regard is to copy Turkey’s SİHAs, which have proven themselves in 4 different wars and on many fronts, from counter-terrorism to natural disasters, instead of UAVs whose unit cost is tens of millions of Euros and whose development process will continue for many years.
Moreover, they plan to bring the unit cost below 5 million Euros. In addition, these UAV-SİHAs, which can come off the production line very quickly, will be much more profitable than the currently planned system in terms of both cost and performance.
For this reason, the thoughts of the European Union officials on the joint production of Bayraktar TB2 SİHAs may also shift to the possible agreement that is planned to be presented by France. On the other hand, there are technologies that can do this. In other words, there will be no need for them to make a possible technology transfer with Turkey.
But undoubtedly, if they choose this agreement, they will be deprived of the experience and great knowledge that Bayraktar TB2 SİHAs and Baykar already have. Because although the basic rules in the sky are valid for all flying vehicles, no Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, including ANKA, Bayraktar AKINCI and AKSUNGUR, that our country has, have as many tanks, armored vehicles, advanced air defense systems and thousands of other enemy factors as Bayraktar TB2s. did not disable it.
