According to The Block, the financing round Ethereum co-founder Vitalik ButerinBain Capital Crypto and Bankless Ventures Ventures.

Nocturne co-founder and CEO Luke Tchang said:
“Nocturne Labs is developing a protocol that aims to allow users to transact anonymously within the Ethereum ecosystem.
Users will have ‘internal’ accounts in Nocturne and receiving/spending money from these accounts will be carried out anonymously. Users will be able to deposit money or receive payments into their Nocturne accounts.
At this point, Nocturne is currently only focusing on incorporating private accounts into the Ethereum ecosystem. It will first support Ethereum, then Ethereum Layer 2 networks in the future.
“The developed protocol is expected to be launched on the Ethereum mainnet next month.”
