Ericsson Research Türkiye Participates in the ROBUST-6G Project

Ericsson Research Turkey will be the global project coordinator on artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) 6G security in the project called ROBUST-6G, which aims to develop 6G infrastructure in Europe.

Ericsson Research Türkiye, European Smart Grids and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) funded by ROBUST-6G He announced that he would take part in the project. Thus, it succeeded in becoming the first Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) organization to be given a coordinator role in the Horizon Europe project.

6G will be protected by artificial intelligence

The purpose of the project 6G networks While it is stated that the aim is to address security risks arising from its complex infrastructure, it is aimed to develop automatic security solutions using artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques. In this context Zero Touch Network and Service Management (Zero-Touch Security and Service Management, ZSM for short) and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning A fully automatic and end-to-end smart grid and service security management framework will be designed and implemented using (AI/ML) techniques.

SNS JU aims to carry out detailed design and system optimization for 6G. For 6G, within the scope of funding efforts to integrate projects focusing on microtechnologies and sustainability elements, Establishing a strong standard is targeted.

Making a statement on the subject Ericsson Türkiye General Manager Işıl Yalçınin his evaluations, “6G, the newest generation of wireless communication technology, has the potential to revolutionize with its ability to deliver wireless intelligence everywhere. Artificial intelligence is expected to both support future technological developments and play a critical role in ensuring the reliability of these technologies. At the same time, the reliability of artificial intelligence components in networks is also of great importance. As part of the ROBUST-6G project, we are proud to contribute to AI-powered 6G security research. “6G represents the future of communications technologies and we believe these technologies have the potential to make a real difference in the world.” he said.
