The 15th of the Global Entrepreneurship Week will be celebrated this year with the slogan “open wings to the future”. Within the scope of GGH 2022, which will take place between 14-20 November, hundreds of events will be organized all over Turkey and tens of thousands of people will follow the events.

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GGH), which has been celebrated in Turkey simultaneously with 180 countries every November since 2008, will be celebrated between 14-20 November this year with the slogan “open wings to the future”.

With the support of 29 institutions consisting of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and universities, tens of thousands of people participated in hundreds of entrepreneurship events that will take place throughout Turkey within the scope of GGH 2022, which will be organized under the general coordination of GEN Turkey and Habitat Association, which are carrying out their work as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) this year. people are expected to attend.

GGH; It is run in Washington DC, with the support of the Kauffman Foundation, under the umbrella of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), focused on developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem around the world. Initially, the main aim of the GGH was to encourage young people to consider entrepreneurship as a career option; At this point, it is positioned as a platform that brings together more than 300 stakeholder institutions operating in the ecosystem, from NGOs to universities, from entrepreneurs to investors, from the private sector to media and government institutions.

During the week that will be celebrated for the 15th time this year, all GGH stakeholders are raising awareness in this area with hundreds of entrepreneurship events organized all over Turkey.

“Increasing numbers and investments are indicators of development”

Nevzat Aydın, Chairman of the Board of GEN Turkey, who made an evaluation about GGH 2022, said: “We are witnessing that the entrepreneurship ecosystem is growing day by day and an entrepreneurship culture is starting to settle in our country.

At the point reached today, as there are many successful startups in Turkey, the number of VCs, corporate VCs, angel investment and crowdfunding platforms is also increasing. Investments received from abroad stand out as the most important indicator of the further development of this culture.

As GEN Turkey, we also make a significant contribution to the development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem through various competitions and events we organize. While we expect intense participation in one of them, Global Entrepreneurship Week, this year we say to startups with your idea, team and innovation, ‘open wings to the future’.”
