El Salvador’s president, Nayip Bukele, who previously announced that a hospital and school will be built with the profits from Bitcoin, has now announced that a new stadium will be built.

Bukele stated that the construction of the new stadium, which will be built to replace the existing 30-year-old stadium in the country, will begin next year. The new stadium, which will be built jointly with China, will be built in accordance with Fifa guidelines and with a total capacity of 50,000 seats.
In his post, Bukele described the partnership with China as “an example of friendship between the peoples of China and El Salvador.”
After El Salvador accepted Bitcoin as a legal currency, it was criticized by both the IMF and other world countries.
Referring to these criticisms with his tweet after the announcement of the new stadium, Nayip Bukele stated that they benefited from the advantages of Bitcoin by comparing Bitcoin with the Dollar.
