eBay Acquires Giant NFT Platform

Many companies from all over the world, cryptocurrencies and NFTs continues its steps towards it without slowing down. Today, we shared with you that Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has established an NFT partnership with the famous football player Cristiano Ronaldo.

While the discussions about NFTs, which are created by the processing of assets on the internet to the blockchain, continue, now a move on this issue has come from one of the largest shopping companies in the world. Announcing that the popular e-commerce platform GittiGidiyor will be closed recently, the US-based eBayannounced that it has acquired a popular NFT marketplace.

eBay acquires NFT platform KnownOrigin

In the statements made by eBay, the Manchester-based NFT marketplace, which is at the top of its field, of KnownOrigin announced the purchase. The giant company also stated in its statements that the agreement between the parties was signed and closed as of June 22. No details were disclosed regarding the purchase price.

KnownOrigin was founded in Manchester, UK in 2018 and has grown into a popular NFT platform. The famous marketplace allowed artists and collectors to create, buy and sell NFTs. In eBay’s statements, KnownOrigin have all been purchased and stated that the founders of the platform will join the giant company.
