So far, women have hardly been represented on the board of the Deutsche Bank subsidiary. That should change now.

Frankfurt DWS is restructuring its management team a few weeks after the new CEO Stefan Hoops took office. The previous head of organization Mark Cullen is leaving the company, as the Handelsblatt learned from financial circles. Cullen was responsible for IT, operations organization, money laundering and data protection.

In the future, his department is to be split into an administrative and technical part and a department for control functions. There is already a successor candidate for both areas of responsibility, said a person familiar with the matter. The fund house is likely to fill one of the positions externally, the other position internally by a manager from the parent company Deutsche Bank. Deutsche Bank declined to comment on the information.

DWS was reportedly already considering Cullen’s successor before Stefan Hoops took office in June. His contract normally runs until 2024. The manager, born in 1955, is likely to retire for reasons of age.
