Diespeck – The breath alcohol test of a 61-year-old car driver in Diespeck in Central Franconia showed an unbelievable five per thousand.
The woman was stopped during a traffic control in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district when the officials noticed the smell of alcohol in the car, as the police announced on Sunday. Despite the high alcohol level, the woman showed no signs of deficiency.

More than three per thousand can generally be life-threatening. The police pointed out that the test is only a preliminary value, which must be confirmed by a blood sample for the criminal proceedings. A strongly deviating value is not expected when the blood is taken.
The drunk woman had to surrender her driver’s license and vehicle keys on Saturday. A higher fine as well as driving license consequences await them.
