The US stock exchanges reacted to the Federal Reserve’s renewed interest rate hike with price declines. The US Federal Reserve has raised interest rates by 0.75 percentage points for the third time in a row. Analysts had largely expected this step. The Dow Jones index of standard values ​​nevertheless lost a good one percent to around 30,450 points after the Fed’s decision. The broader S&P 500 fell 1.5 percent to just over 3800 points. The Nasdaq index slipped 1.8 percent to around 11,300 points.

The upcoming interest rate decision had already unsettled investors on Wall Street on Tuesday: the leading indices closed about one percent in the red.
