Citroen Ami, which was officially sold in our country last month – sold for 6 thousand Euros in Europe – entered the market with a sales tag of 215 thousand TL and became Turkey’s cheapest car. Domestic competitor to the compact electric Citroen AMI: Here is Amperino!

In fact, Citroen Ami and similar vehicles are used as 4-wheel electric bicycles in traffic, so the conditions of use are quite comfortable. For example, a license is not required to drive these vehicles in the EU. Moreover, the age limit can be as low as 14.

The most interesting feature of the 5.5 kWh Citroen Ami, compared to its competitors, was that it reached a range of up to 70 km at a speed of 50 km per hour. Moreover, it is possible to fully charge the battery in 3 hours using household sockets. Therefore, it is very suitable for many people’s urban use.

On the other hand, Amperino, the compact car brand of İnegöllü Saloni Furniture, which first found itself outside the local media in a post made on Emre Özpeynirci’s Twitter account, has come to the last step in prototype development.

Renault Twizy from Citroen Ami rivals

It is stated that Amperino will go on its first technical trials in the coming summer months. When we look at the features of the vehicle, we can say that there are some improvements compared to the Citroen Ami. For example, while Ami’s range is 70 km, Amperino will be able to do 150 km on a full charge. It should also be noted that its top speed is 90 km / h.

Of course, since this vehicle is still a prototype, we can see that the data of the possible model released in the future period will be different. However, let’s say that the expectation is that the vehicle on sale will always offer the same or better features than the prototype.
