Dollar Rises Above 15 TL

The dollar rate started the day with a new record. The dollar rate, which took off with the opening of the markets, exceeded 15 TL for the first time in its history. Dollar/TL parity has reached the level of 15.20 as of 09:20.

The dollar added a new one to its records against the Turkish lira. Continuing its upward trend with the opening of the markets, the exchange rate is traded at 15.20 levels as of 09:11. It is not known whether the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) will directly intervene by selling dollars against volatility.

Even though the dollar broke a record by reaching 15.20 levels, Turkey still has a long way to go. So much so that the Monetary Policy Committee Meeting of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey will be held today. One more interest rate cut at this meeting may cause the dollar to break new records…
