Dogecoin, which was issued as a joke coin and carries the dog symbol, increased its popularity earlier this year and became the focus of attention of many billionaires, Youtubers and investors.
It was announced that a new update was launched in February in Dogecoin, supported by Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
Dogecoin’s developer team announced on Twitter that the “Dogecoin Core 1.14.5” upgrade is almost complete.
Dogecoin Core 1.14.5 has been tagged (“gone gold”, but for open source), and we’re running the Gitian build process for it now. It’s not done until we verify the build is good, but sooooon https://t.co/s3NolYxbI1

With the upcoming update, high transaction fees are planned to be reduced for all network participants. With the “Dogecoin Core 1.14.5” upgrade, the block addition fee is set at 0.01 DOGE per kilobyte in the core wallet. This equates to about $0.002.
Musk, the biggest supporter of Dogecoin, has also frequently stated that transaction fees should be reduced.
Tesla CEO Musk said that this upgrade will help Dogecoin become a viable means of payment.
In addition to lowering transaction fees, Dogecoin version 1.14.5 also introduces various regulations for high-severity vulnerabilities affecting most Dogecoin Core users.
