What is the 2022 handicapped vehicle purchase limit?

The disabled vehicle purchase limit is increased every year due to different reasons such as increasing automobile prices and inflation. In this context, the handicapped vehicle purchase limit for 2022 was announced as 450 thousand 500 TL.

In other words, people who want to benefit from this right should choose a vehicle below this amount. When it comes to the payment side, people with a disability rate of between 40 and 89 percent can benefit from a 26.3 percent SCT and 15.24 percent VAT reduction. People with a disability of 90 percent or more can purchase vehicles completely exempt from SCT.

In addition, there are some age restrictions. For example, people with a disability between 40 and 89 percent must be over the age of 18 to use the vehicles they buy themselves. There is no age restriction for people with a disability of 90 percent or more, and they can also appoint people to use this tool.

In other words, if a person with a disability over 90 percent is under the age of 18 or is unable to drive, he or she can grant the right to use this vehicle to family members. In addition, these persons appointed by him can also make the purchase of the vehicle instead of himself.

An important point to be mentioned here is the time limit on purchased vehicles. Vehicles purchased by disabled individuals with SCT exemption cannot be sold or transferred to another person for 5 years. At the same time, the person cannot purchase a second vehicle with SCT exemption within this 5-year period. However, if the vehicle is banned from traffic due to an accident or natural disaster, that is, if the curtain is removed, this right can be used again before the end of 5 years.
