Developers Chasing HBAR and These Altcoins!

In a new report, analytics firm Santiment has shed light on which projects blockchain developers have been interested in lately. According to the report, Polkadot (DOT) and Kusama (KSM) rank first in terms of development activity. There are projects like HBAR and MANA on the list.

Santiment’s report on the first project with the most development activity on GitHub revealed the leadership of DOT and KSM. The list, which includes curious projects such as HBAR, was followed by the following cryptocurrencies:

  1. Polkadot (DOT)
  2. vomiting (KSM)
  3. Cardano (ADA)
  4. Status (SNT)
  5. Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR)
  6. Internet Computer (ICP)
  7. Cosmos (ATOM)
  8. Vega Protocol (VEGA)
  9. Chainlink (LINK)
  10. Decentraland (MANA)

Polkadot (DOT) and Kusama (KSM) are at the forefront because they have a network of parachains that can work with other Blockchains. In a follow-up tweet, Santiment detailed the importance of development activities in a report:

Polkadot is a leader in development, but in a tight spot for price

According to Santiment, developer activity on the Polkadot network is much higher than that of its competitors. Its analytics platform recorded 546 30-day developer events for Polkadot and its “canary network” Kusama. He was among the first names of the list in both networks. The report covers GitHub activity for a month to get these developer activity indicators on each network.

According to Santiment, Cardano is second only to the two Polkadot networks with 507 monthly developer events. However, there were some surprises in the rest of the ranking.

HBAR and ICP are among the surprise projects of the list

The relatively obscure secure messaging app, crypto wallet, and Web3 browser project Status placed third with 400 active developers during the month. Next on the list was the Hedera (HBAR) network, which also has 400 active developers.

Surprisingly, Internet Computer (ICP) ranked sixth with 392 active developers per month. There has been little news from the Dfinity project since its much-hyped launch in May 2021. After its launch, ICP had become the fourth biggest name in crypto. However, it is now one of the worst performers in the market, almost crashing.

As a result, Polkadot, Kusama and other altcoins stand out for their active development work. These projects contribute to Blockchain technology providing innovative and applicable solutions. Developers are constantly making progress in areas such as smart contracts, decentralized applications, and data security. In particular, these activities will increase the potential of Blockchain technology, leading to greater transformations in the future.
