Nick Carter is about to perform in London with the Backstreet Boys

Nick Carter (42) has lost his younger brother Aaron (34) suffered a painful loss. The singer is currently on tour with the Backstreet Boys and is set to take the stage in London tonight.

Fans around the world are now asking themselves: do they or don’t they? So far it says: YES, the Backstreet Boys perform tonight at 8pm UK time (9pm German time) at the sold out London O2 Arena.

Neither the venue nor the Backstreet Boys themselves have canceled the concert. Fans were ready in case of cancellation and expressed understanding in advance on Twitter.

“I’m so sorry for the loss of your brother Nick. We London fans will understand if the show is canceled tomorrow,” wrote one fan on Twitter.

But it seems everything will go as planned and the boy band will be on stage tonight despite the unexpected death of Aaron Carter.

Artist KnowleDJ, who performs for the Backstreet Boys that same night, tried to take the confusion out of fans. He wrote a few hours ago in his Instagram-Story: “As far as I know the show is happening and I’ll be there tonight to play my set.”

It wouldn’t be the first time Nick has appeared on stage immediately after the death of a family member.

When his sister Leslie died of an overdose in 2012 at the age of 25, the singer did not cancel his tour with the Backstreet Boys. When she was buried in New York, he was on stage at the same time.

On Friday the boy band played in Dortmund’s Westfalenhalle. It was the last stop in Germany on their tour for the time being; on Saturday they took a break.

It is also conceivable that the boy band will perform in London without Nick. The singer had already canceled a solo concert this Sunday. But the option of a Backstreet Boy concert without Nick Carter has not yet been confirmed.

So far, neither Nick nor the Backstreet Boys have publicly commented on Aaron Carter’s death.
