Dax says goodbye to the 16,000 point mark

Dusseldorf The Dax came very close to the 16,000 point mark on Monday – but ultimately could not pass it. This attempt ended with the daily high of 15,996 points in the early afternoon. The Dax closed trading on Monday unchanged at 15,953 points.

Once again, the leading index failed to establish itself above 16,000 points. Already on the first day of trading in May it reached a new annual high of 16,011 points. But the stock exchange barometer was only able to maintain this level for a few minutes.

In any case, it would be surprising if the small rally last Friday with a plus of 1.4 percent seamlessly turned into a larger one. Because after a six-week rise, which raised the Dax from 14,459 to 16,011 points, a breather of several weeks is more likely than a new record high (currently at 16,290 points).
