Dax remains close to the 15,000-point mark – what speaks for and against a turning point

Dusseldorf On the German stock market, the focus remains on the round mark of 15,000 points. The Dax was listed at 15,025 points in the first hour of trading on Tuesday, an increase of 0.4 percent.

The crucial question for investors is: is the bankruptcy of the Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) just an incident limited to a few institutes, or is it the beginning of a new major crisis? Nobody knows the exact answer, but in view of the past two turbulent trading days with a price slide of 800 points on the Dax, it is worth classifying the events. Are these losses just the beginning of a crash or a cheap entry opportunity?

An ordinary setback so far

Even if the prices slipped significantly on Friday and Monday, it has so far been a rather common setback on the German stock market. Compared to the annual high of 15,706 points, the Dax has given way by around five percent and has fallen to 14,887 points.
