Dax increases – Carl Zeiss Meditec share slips more than ten percent

Dusseldorf The German stock market is on the up again. The Dax is up 0.2 percent in the morning and is trading at 14,287 points.

With today’s price gains at the start of trading, the German stock market barometer is following the plus signs on the US stock exchanges. On Wall Street, the major indices rose between 0.6 and 1.1 percent.

However, today’s price gains also show that the current consolidation after the nine-week 2700-point rally has so far only been a mini setback of less than three percent. Should the Dax be able to establish itself above 14,327 points, that would even be a further relaxation signal. This mark had already provided support for two weeks before the leading index slipped below it on Tuesday of this week.
