Dax gives way – professionals say goodbye to year-end rally

Dusseldorf The Dax continues to consolidate in small steps. From its high in the past week, the leading index has fallen by only 2.5 percent at its peak. Today’s trading day does not change anything in this scenario. The Dax was down 0.3 percent at midday, changing to 14,220 points.

With today’s daily low of 14,196 points, the consolidation was expanded somewhat. It should be exciting in the area between 14,150 and 13,948 points. There is an important support zone in this area.

This year there will be 16 trading days on the stock exchange. As a result, the question of whether there will be a year-end rally is coming to the fore for investors. It would be a continuation of the 2700 point rally since late September. But such a scenario would mean prices above 14,584 points – an upward trend towards the round mark of 15,000 points. In view of the significant price gains so far, it is difficult to believe in it.
