Dax ends volatile trading slightly in the black

Dusseldorf A trading day characterized by fluctuations, an astonishing resistance to repeated losses, a slight plus on the course board in the early evening: the Dax ultimately ended Wednesday trading 0.3 percent higher at 13,794 points.

The trading volume on Wednesday was significantly higher than last. A total of almost 135 million papers were traded, according to the financial services provider Refinitiv. For comparison, the average last month was 75 million titles.

However, no clear trend could be discerned over the course of the year. After an initial minus of almost 200 points, the Dax was now almost 100 points up again, but then slipped back into the red to reach the profit zone again in the late afternoon. The price gains on Wall Street had a supportive effect.
