Dax continues to slide at the start of trading

Dusseldorf The German stock market suffers further losses in interesting Friday trading. The Dax closes 1.7 percent lower at 12,741 points on Friday. The MDax of medium-sized stocks lost around two percent, the leading index for the euro zone, the Euro Stoxx 50, fell 1.4 percent.

The leading German index has fallen below the important 13,000 point mark for the time being – the closing price on Thursday and all of Friday trading were both below the mark. The gloomy mood in the USA and in Asia is also having a negative effect.

The Dax is now at its lowest level since Thursday of the previous week. Since its weekly high of 13,565 points on Tuesday, the leading index has lost over 800 points.
