Dax continues to slide at the start of trading

Dusseldorf The German stock market suffers further losses in interesting Friday trading. The Dax fell by 1.9 percent at midday to 12,700 points. The MDax of medium-sized stocks lost 2.5 percent, the leading index for the euro zone, the Euro Stoxx 50, fell 1.6 percent.

The leading German index has fallen below the important mark of 13,000 points for the time being – the closing price on Thursday and the opening on Friday were both below the mark. The signals from the USA were weak, and most of the Asian indices also closed in the red despite some positive economic data from China.

The Dax is now at its lowest level since Thursday of the previous week. Since its weekly high of 13,565 points on Tuesday, the leading index has lost around 800 points.

Additional pressure could come from another weak Wall Street open on Friday. This is what the premarket indicators suggest.
