Dax continues to climb – test of the 16,000 point mark is imminent

Dusseldorf The leading German index establishes itself above the 15,800 point mark. In morning trading, the leading German index was at 15,834 points on Tuesday, an increase of 0.3 percent.

The stock market barometer has climbed by 1450 points in a good four weeks, an increase of ten percent. Yesterday, Monday, there was a new annual high of 15,903 points and thus the highest level since the beginning of January 2022.

It is quite possible that the leading German index will take a short breather during today’s trading day. After all, after the new annual high on Monday, there was profit-taking that caused the Dax to slip by around 150 points.

But according to Jörg Scherer, technical analyst at HSBC Germany, there are numerous supports between 15,700 and almost 15,400 points that could give the Dax a hold.
