Dax closes slightly in the red – Bayer the biggest loser after poor quarterly figures

Dusseldorf Investors held back on Thursday: the Dax closed 0.4 percent down at 15,835 points. There are around 215 points between the daily high and the daily low.

The leading German index was dominated by the quarterly figures on Thursday: Several large Dax companies opened their books even before the start of trading: Merck, RWE, Deutsche Telekom, Bayer and Hannover Re. The results were mixed.
