Many companies, especially Facebook and HP, accelerated their work for VR / AR technologies. ByteDance, the roof company of TikTok, will appear in front of users with a VR headset called Pico.
Founded in 2015, Pico works on virtual reality technologies. Pico, which actively provides VR services in the remote working, entertainment system and health sector, has a wide product range. ByteDance announced in March 2022 that it had acquired Pico to enter the virtual reality market.

Meta has announced the launch date for the new augmented reality glasses in the past weeks. The company’s new VR glasses will be introduced at the Meta Connect event to be held on October 11.
Making a statement on LinkedIn, the team set the launch date of the new VR headset as October 22, 15.00 CET. In the post shared by the company, “The moment you have been waiting for has come! We can’t wait to show you what we have in store for you. 22 September 2022, 15.00 GMT+3 stay tuned ”.
It is estimated that the developed VR headset will be called Pico 4 or Pico Phoenix. However, a face and eye tracking system will be used in the new model.
The developed model will be able to adjust its lenses with automatic IPD (interpupillary distance). It is stated that the device will be powered by the processor produced by Qualcomm. Finally, it is stated that ByteDance prefers Android Q as its operating system.
