Cryptocurrency Institutions in Turkey, which is preparing a law regarding its regulations, have tightened their controls.
Taken under the control of Masak in 2021 cryptocurrency fines rained down on the stock markets.
Bitci Teknoloji AŞ, Icrypex Bilişim AŞ, Paribu AŞ and BTC Türk were found to have violated various obligations in the last audits carried out by Masak, and an administrative fine of 18 million 800 thousand liras was imposed in total.
With the regulation published in the Official Gazette on May 1, crypto asset service providers were connected to MASAK, and MASAK published a guide for service providers.

With these regulations crypto asset The service providers were obliged to know your customer, report suspicious transactions, and provide information and documents.
The first penalty by Masak for crypto-asset service providers was imposed on Binance in December. After the 8 million lira fines imposed on Binance, Bitci, Icrypex, Paribu and BTC Turk were also fined.
It is not yet known what obligations the exchanges violated.
The penalty that Masak has imposed on crypto asset service providers so far has reached 26 million 800 thousand liras.
