Croatia’s Largest Supermarket Chain Starts Accepting These Cryptocurrencies!

Founded in 1957 and Croatia’s largest supermarket chain, Konzum has started accepting cryptocurrencies in its online store, 24sata reported on Dec.

Supported digital currencies for payments include Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin (BTC), XRP, Stellar (XLM), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and two stablecoins (USDT and DAI).

Shoppers will now be able to purchase food, hygiene items, household goods and other products with the aforementioned cryptocurrencies.

Konzum has partnered with Croatian fintech company Electrocoin to use the PayCek system to facilitate crypto payments.

Crypto comes to Konzum’s physical stores

In addition, crypto payments will gradually be made available in Konzum’s physical stores across the country.

The company will launch this service with 60 stores with self-checkouts. New payment options will then be available in 630 stores of all sizes across Croatia.
