Corona, Thuringia: Weekly incidence continues to rise significantly | Regional

Erfurt – The number of new corona infections in Thuringia continues to rise significantly. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the seven-day incidence on Monday was 427.5 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants.

The weekly incidence on Sunday was 419.9 and on Saturday 406.0.

There were 455 new infections and three more deaths related to the coronavirus within 24 hours.

Thuringia is the state with the second highest incidence after Saxony (491.3).

In a comparison of the districts in the Free State, the RKI showed by far the highest seven-day incidence for the district of Sonneberg on Monday – it was 823.9 there.

More than 500 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and seven days were also recorded for the districts of Gotha (535.8), the Ilm district (525.5), the Unstrut-Hainich district (522.1) and Schmalkalden-Meiningen (503 , 1) shown. The lowest incidence was in the Sömmerda district at 269.1.
