Dresden – Ordinance hammer in Saxony. According to the draft of its new Corona Protection Ordinance (to apply from September 23), the Free State is planning to introduce the so-called 2G option for retailers as well. This is reported by the online edition of “Leipziger Volkszeitung”.

According to this, not only organizers, hosts or sports clubs should be free to only admit those who have been vaccinated or those who have recovered.

Even in supermarkets, clothing stores, department stores and shopping malls, masks and spaces could be dispensed with in the future if the owners only make their shops accessible to vaccinated or recovered customers.

However, the project is highly controversial within the coalition. To date, no representative of the parliamentary groups of the CDU, Greens and SPD have wanted to commit to this.

The new and then 38th Corona Protection Ordinance of the Free State is currently available for hearing in the responsible committees of the state parliament. It is to be passed by the cabinet next Tuesday and will apply on September 23.
