The departure of the mobile phone mast operator Vantage Towers from the Frankfurt stock exchange floor makes room for Hochtief in the MDax. Experts had expected this development. The construction group will be exchanged for the railway technology company Vossloh in the SDax, as the index provider Stoxx announced late Friday evening in Zug. The changes will take effect next Wednesday.
Index changes are particularly important for funds that replicate indices in real terms (physically replicating ETFs). There must then be shifted and reweighted accordingly, which can have an impact on share prices.
