In colorful cities, people are more curious and stimulated

While the volunteers were traveling around the world, the scientists also followed the physical condition of the volunteers. In the study, when the volunteers saw green vegetation in the urban environment, increased heart rate and they were observed to walk more slowly. The volunteers were constantly looking around instead of looking directly at one point in this environment.

On the other hand, the fact that the city took on a more colorful structure besides the green vegetation improved the reaction of the volunteers. Volunteers are much more curious and aroused was observed. New research, published in Frontiers in Virtual Reality, has reintroduced the proposal to color cities to keep people’s morale up.
