Class-Law On Coinbase For Airdrop Of 2 Altcoins From Ripple Investors

Coinbase, the largest US cryptocurrency exchange, has faced a class action lawsuit filed by Ripple (XRP) holders for failing to act fairly in the long-awaited airdrop distributions.

Coinbase completed last week. Flare Network (FLR) and Songbird (SGB) for not performing airdrop distributions fairly XRP filed a lawsuit with its investors. In a lawsuit filed by investors in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, Coinbase’s “not making a fair distribution” was put forward. In the details of the lawsuit, it was stated that other exchanges distributed airdrops to XRP holders fairly, but Coinbase did not take the same stance on this issue.

According to the claimants, although it was stated that the distribution would take place with the images of the instant XRP balances received on December 12, 2020, in accordance with the airdrop conditions, the XRP balances in the wallets of some users were ignored by Coinbase. The plaintiffs demanded that Coinbase hand over the undistributed tokens to their owners and compensate for potential damages.

The first phase of the FLR airdrop distribution, supported by many leading exchanges including Binance, was completed last week.
