Cinema Giant Will Adopt 10 Popular Cryptos Including Dogecoin!

AMC’s rival movie theater chain Regal announced on Tuesday morning that all US movie theaters will accept cryptocurrency payments for online transactions through a partnership with digital payments firm Flexa. Customers will be able to purchase movie tickets with cryptocurrency and use the app at concession stands.

With this move, Regal follows in the footsteps of AMC Theaters, the largest movie theater chain in the US, which said in early November it will accept Bitcoin, Ether and other cryptocurrencies for online payments.

The chain also plans to add rewards functionality for members of the Regal Crown Club loyalty program and potentially bring more crypto payment options in the future, including Bitcoin’s Lightning Network.

Regal, a US subsidiary of UK-based Cineworld Group, operates 6,885 screens in 514 venues in 42 states, along with Washington, DC and Guam.

Ken Thewes, Regal Marketing Manager, commented on the partnership:
